Fountain Inn, S.C. – Venus Poe was recently named to the National Association of Distinguished Counsel’s (“NADC’s”) top one percent of attorneys for 2017. NADC’s mission is to recognize attorneys who elevate Bar standards and provide a benchmark for other lawyers to emulate.

Poe has practiced personal injury law for almost 15 years. She is a member of the South Carolina Bar, has served on its Board of Governors and as president of the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division, and founded the South Carolina Bar’s Leadership Academy. She currently serves on the South Carolina Bar’s House of Delegates and on the board of directors for the South Carolina Bar Foundation. She is active on the Bar’s Practice and Procedure Committee as well as its Publications Committee.
Poe is a certified Circuit Court Mediator. She also serves on the South Carolina Fee Disputes Board and is a member of the South Carolina Association for Justice.
She graduated with a Bachelors degree from the College of Charleston, and received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
Poe serves as Fountain Inn Rotary Club President and as a Fountain Inn Chamber of Commerce board member. She formerly served on the board of directors of the Simpsonville Chamber of Commerce and founded the Simpsonville Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
